I have travelled extensively over the years and have met many great people all over the world. I have seen places in the world that were indescribably beautiful and mesmerizing and have seen heart breaking poverty. These experiences have led me reflect on the world from a global and local perspective, trying to understand the human condition. My travels have taken me to Africa, Egypt, Australia, Asia, South America and some parts of Europe. All of these experiences have helped shaped the artist I am today.

In high school I saw 'Star Wars' and knew I wanted to be a concept artist. The film was seminal and inspirational for me. A few years later I got to know The fabulous Star Wars Illustrator, Ralph McQuarrie. He taught me in a short period of time more than I had ever learned on my own studying books. For that and our friendship I shall always be indebted to him.

I attempted to get a formal art education at the Emily Carr College of Art, but unfortunately their curriculum was not orientated at that time towards entertainment Industrial design, so I am largely self taught.
